Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 6, 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website rentgomuscat.com (the “Website”) and the car rental services provided through RentGo Muscat, including offers under the concept “Car Hire Muscat No Deposit“. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your rental.

1. General Information

  • 1.1. RentGo Muscat operates in Muscat, Oman, working with selected local car rental partners (“Suppliers”).
  • 1.2. In many cases, RentGo Muscat acts as an intermediary between you and the Supplier. The actual rental agreement for the vehicle is concluded directly between you and the Supplier, whose terms and conditions also apply.
  • 1.3. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by RentGo Muscat and/or the Supplier.
  • 1.4. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the driver, licence and age requirements set out in these Terms and in the Supplier’s rental agreement.

2. Booking and Payment

  • 2.1. Reservations can be made via the Website, by email, phone or via messaging apps indicated in the booking process.
  • 2.2. Many offers follow the Car Hire Muscat No Deposit concept, however, not all vehicles are deposit-free. Each offer clearly states whether a deposit is required and the amount.
  • 2.3. Accepted payment methods (credit card, debit card, cash on arrival) depend on the specific offer and Supplier policy. This information is shown during booking and/or in your confirmation.
  • 2.4. Prices are generally quoted in Omani Rial (OMR) and usually include basic insurance required by local law, local taxes and a standard mileage allowance, unless otherwise stated.
  • 2.5. Optional extras (for example: child seat, GPS, additional driver, extended insurance) may be available at an extra cost, either at booking or at pickup, according to the Supplier’s tariffs.
  • 2.6. Even where an offer is advertised as “no deposit”, an excess or other charges may still apply in the event of damage or violation of the rental conditions. Details are specified in the Supplier’s rental agreement.

3. Driver Requirements

  • 3.1. Drivers must meet the minimum age specified in the offer and by the Supplier (commonly 21–25 years or above, depending on vehicle category).
  • 3.2. A valid driving licence must be presented at pickup. Depending on your country of residence and local regulations, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required in addition to your national licence.
  • 3.3. Drivers must have held a valid licence for at least the minimum period specified in the offer (often 1–3 years), depending on vehicle category and Supplier policy.
  • 3.4. Additional drivers must be declared at booking or at pickup and may be subject to extra documentation and a daily fee.
  • 3.5. The Supplier may refuse to hand over the vehicle if driver requirements are not met, even if the booking has been confirmed.

4. Insurance and Liability

  • 4.1. All rentals include at least basic third-party liability insurance in accordance with Omani law, as provided by the Supplier.
  • 4.2. Additional coverage (such as collision damage waiver, theft protection, or reduced excess) may be available at extra cost, subject to the Supplier’s terms and the selected policy.
  • 4.3. Insurance typically does not cover damage arising from negligence, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use on prohibited roads, racing or use by non-authorised drivers.
  • 4.4. Damage to certain parts of the vehicle (such as tyres, wheels, glass, underbody, interior or roof) may not be included in standard coverage. You must check coverage details carefully at booking and at pickup.
  • 4.5. In the event of an accident, theft or damage, you must immediately inform the Supplier and follow their instructions, which may include filing a police report and completing claim forms.
  • 4.6. Failure to comply with the required procedures may result in reduced or cancelled insurance coverage and additional costs for you.

5. Vehicle Use

  • 5.1. Vehicles must be used in accordance with Omani traffic laws and the Supplier’s rental conditions.
  • 5.2. The vehicle may only be driven by the person(s) listed on the rental agreement as authorised drivers.
  • 5.3. Off-road driving, desert driving or use on unpaved or unsuitable roads is not permitted unless explicitly authorised by the Supplier and adequately insured.
  • 5.4. Crossing national borders with the vehicle is prohibited unless expressly permitted in writing by the Supplier and supported by appropriate insurance and documentation.
  • 5.5. Smoking or transporting pets in the vehicle may be restricted or prohibited. If allowed, additional cleaning or damage fees may apply if the car is returned in an unacceptable condition.
  • 5.6. You are responsible for all fines, penalties, parking tickets, tolls and towing charges incurred during the rental period.

6. Fuel and Mileage

  • 6.1. The fuel policy (for example “same-to-same” or “full-to-full”) is specified in each offer and in the rental agreement. You must return the car according to that fuel policy; otherwise, refuelling charges may apply.
  • 6.2. Offers may include unlimited mileage or a specific mileage allowance. Any excess kilometres may be charged at the rate stated in the rental agreement.

7. Pickup and Return

  • 7.1. Typical pickup and return locations include Muscat International Airport (MCT), hotels and other agreed addresses within Muscat and nearby areas, as indicated in the offer.
  • 7.2. You must collect and return the vehicle at the agreed time and place. Late pickup or return may result in extra charges, such as an additional rental day or late fees, according to the Supplier’s policy.
  • 7.3. At pickup, you are responsible for checking the condition of the vehicle and ensuring that any visible damage is recorded in the rental documentation.
  • 7.4. The vehicle must be returned in essentially the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear. Excessive dirt, sand, stains or damage may result in cleaning or repair charges.
  • 7.5. If you anticipate a delay or need to extend the rental, you must inform the Supplier as soon as possible. Extensions are subject to availability and may affect the rental rate.

8. Cancellations and Modifications

  • 8.1. Cancellation terms vary by offer, Supplier, season and rate type. The applicable cancellation policy is shown during booking and/or in your confirmation.
  • 8.2. Where free cancellation is offered, bookings cancelled within the stated period are generally free of charge. Outside this period, cancellation fees may apply, up to the full rental amount in case of no-show.
  • 8.3. Modifications (dates, times, vehicle category, pickup/return locations, extras) are subject to availability and the Supplier’s policy. Changes may result in a different rental rate or additional fees.
  • 8.4. If you fail to appear at the agreed pickup location and time without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a no-show and no refund may be given.

  • 9.1. RentGo Muscat’s role is to facilitate your booking and, in many cases, introduce you to local Suppliers. We are not responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance or roadworthiness of the vehicles, which remain the responsibility of the Supplier.
